Apple Pie Recipe

Hey everyone! Its already autumn which means its time for pumpkins and cinnamon and lots of comfort food!
Today, I've got a delicious autumn comfort food called an apple pie!
Hahaha... I'm pretty sure you've all had one before but here's one good recipe that I've made up after trying many different recipes.

So first we'll start of with the pie crust:
  • 1 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Butter (room temp)
  • 4 Tablespoons Cold Water
  1. Mix the flour and brown sugar together.
  2. Pour the cold water and mix.
  3. Add the butter until butter is well incorporated and it becomes dough-like.
  4. Roll in to a ball, plastic wrap, and set in the fridge for 20-30 min.
  5. So, after the dough chills for a bit, roll out the dough and place on to your pie pan.

Then its time to start the filling
  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon Flour
  • 2 Tablespoon White Sugar
  • 6 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoon water
  • 1 Large Granny Smith Apple
  • 1 Fuji Apple
  1. Preheat oven for 350F Degrees
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter then and the sugar. Once the sugar and butter are mixed together add the water and mix well.
  3. Slice the apple and place into pie.
  4. Pour the syrup on the "apple-pie" then top with crust if you'd like (:
  5. If you're using a small pie pan bake for 350F degrees for 15 minutes (or until crust is brown)
  6. If a big pie pan bake 350F for 30 minutes (or until crust is brown)

I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Organic Watermelon Lemonade (with Rosemary)

Top of the morning to you! (or whatever time it is you are reading this)
Anyways, I survived Monday!
Not that there's anything wrong with Mondays but, its been crazy hot!
Thank you, Willis Haviland Carrier, for inventing air conditioners.
BTW, I didn't know Willis created it, I just googled it right now.
And speaking of hot weather...
Today, I've got a recipe that will cool you down this summer - Lemonade!
Not just plain boring lemons, water, and sugar but Watermelon Lemonade with Rosemary!
A recipe inspired by the Lemonade Restaurant's Watermelon Rosemary Lemonade:

Plus, its a great drink for 4th of July this Friday and its organic!
And like most of the recipes I share, its super easy!

Here's all you need:

  • Blender
  • Strainer
  • 2 cups Organic Watermelon (cut into chunks)
  • 1/4 cup Organic Rosemary
  • 1 3/4 Cup Squeezed Organic Lemon Juice
  • 1 1/3 Cup Water (AND another 1/3 cup)
  • 1/2 Cup Organic Sugar

Then all you gotta do is:
  1. Put all the ingredients in the blender except the extra 1/3 cup water.
  2. Blend well until its like a juice.
  3. Strain into container. Use a spoon to help push the juice through the strainer but keeping the pulp inside the strainer.
  4. Add 1/3 cup water and mix.
  5. Place in the fridge to chill or serve right away with Ice Cubes!

I hope you all Enjoyed this recipe I shared, keep hydrated this hot summer, and (Early) Happy 4th of July!

Bakery on Main's Strawberry Shortcake Oatmeal

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a great weekend(:
We're starting off this week with a few recipes from a summer must have food, I think at least. Haha!
This Must-Have is The Bakery on Main's Strawberry Short Cake Instant oat meal!
I've really enjoyed this oatmeal since it tastes very much like strawberries and cream.
It reminds me a little of Starbucks' Strawberries n' Cream Frappuccino!
Actually it reminds me a lot of it! This oat meal helps my cravings for the ever-so-sugary-and-sweet Starbucks Frap and most especially cupcakes(and other sweets)!
It Mostly satisfies my craving for cupcakes because if you follow my personal Instagram account you'll know that I do eat quite a bit of cupcakes(Casey's Cupcakes are my fave)!

Anyways, I should now start by telling you how good it is.
So, if you're a celiac this is good because its GLUTEN FREE!
And non GMO, dairy free, casein free, low in sodium, and high in fiber!

Enough of that now and here's a few recipes for this other than just instant oats :D

"Yoats"
Cooked oats topped with yogurt then refrigerated over night

  1.  Cook Bakery on Main's instant oatmeal then after its cooked, add a layer of yogurt. I used The Epic Seed Chia seed and greek yogurt.
  2. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  3. Top with fruits and/or granola.

Easy Banana Pancakes
Easy quick and healthy pancakes made from bananas, egg whites, and oats.

1/4 cup Bakery on Main Strawberry Shortcake Instant Oatmeal, 1 Egg White, and 1/2 Banana
1. Mix all the ingredients together.
2. In a pan heat up coconut oil and put the pancake batter. Cook until both sides are golden brown flipping once after one side is golden brown.

Healthy Oatmeal Cookies
Oatmeal cookies made with out butter or milk.

For this recipe you need to make oat flour with The Bakery on Main Strawberry Shortcake Instant Oatmeal.
Head here to my post on how to make oat flour.

1/4 Cup Raisins

Your Tea's Tiny Tea

Hello Dolls!
So anyways, let's start this off with cheers!
My summer break has begun and if you follow my on instagram @GoinSummer , I've just started my teatox (detox with tea).
This isn't my first time using Your Tea's Tiny Tea teatox (boy, that was a lot to teas haha!). Tiny tea did work on me quite a bit, not so much on weight loss though, but more on that when I've finished this box of tea because this is NOT A REVIEW of the tea(:

I've done some research on the tea(other than the info they give you on their web) for those of you needing a little more info whether you'd like to try it out or not.
These are what I've searched up about it before trying it the first time and what convinced me to try it.
So, here we go!

Your Tea is a company that has a range of teas for detox, men, women, fertility, etc.

I did some extra research on the benefits of the Your Tea Tiny Tea Ingredients.
It is a mixture of tea which Your Tea has made using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

This tea mixture includes:

Camellia Sinesis, which is a type of green tea, possess antibacterial actions due to the green tea's catechins.
Fructus Hordei Germinatus also known as  Da Mai, Mai Ya, or Barley.  This herb helps to expand intestines as well as enhance stomach channels.
Cratiagus Pinnatifida(as said on the box) however when I searched it, it was spelled Crataegus Pinnatifida.  This aids with digestion and blood circulation.
He Ye is a lotus leaf that enhances the heart's and the liver's functions.
Chi Ziao Dou(as said on the box) however when I searched it, it was spelled Chi Xiao Dou. Its made from rice or azuli bean and helps get rid of toxins, as swell as enhance the heart and small intestine channel's functions.

The website does say different mixtures of tea, but I went with the ingredients as said on the box.

Also, the Tiny Tea  does not include laxatives or added caffeine.
It does, however, contain a small bit of caffeine and its has gluten.
Don't fret though! If the caffeine does keep you awake and energetic you may take the third cup of tea a couple hours before sleeping AND they have a GLUTEN-FREE TINY TEA as well!

The tiny tea promises:

The benefits of the different teas does seem to coincide with the outcomes the teatox promises.

So thats it!
Since I am on using this tea for the second time you can guess it did go well for me the first time around (review on your tea coming next time!).

Anyways, I hope that was helpful!

P.S. I was in no way sponsored or paid by teatox or anyone to post this.

Super Healthy Dairy-free All-fruit Ice Cream

Hey guys! How's it goin'?
I don't know about you but its starting to get hot in SoCal!
Most likely cause its almost summer...
So, anyways...
Speaking of summer and hot weather, here's a new recipe i'm sharing with you!

Since summer is coming up, a lot of us are probably not wanting to eat super creamy and calorie-loaded ice cream because a lot of us want and are working for that summer bod!
As a solution, I've got this uber-delicious, healthy, and easy ice cream recipe :D
(btw, definitely treat yourself to some delicious ice cream and don't deprive yourself!)

All you need are:

1 Frozen Banana
2 Handfuls of any frozen berry (blueberry, strawberry, etc)
A Blender

1. What I like to do is get some fresh fruits and freeze them over night (I prefer fresh over store bought already frozen fruit)
2. Put them in the blender.
3. Blend until smooth!
4. Scoop into a bowl, and violà! You have yourself one serving of super healthy ice cream!

P.S. You can also substitute one handful of berries with another kind of berry. Ex: 1 handful strawberries and 1 handful blueberries.
Or...... you can just substitute the 2 handful of berries with 2 handful of other frozen fruit!

However, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT replace the frozen bananas as it is what makes this into a creamy ice cream (:

Have a healthy start of summer :D

Easiest Soft Sugar Cookie

1/2 cup Room Temperature Butter
3/4 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder / baking soda

Preheat oven for 350 degrees farenheit.

Cream the butter and sugar by mixing it together. Then add the vanilla extract and egg while mixing.

In a separate bowl add flour, salt, and baking powder or baking soda. Mix them together.

Once butter, vanilla, sugar, and egg are mixed well, incorporate the dry ingredients until it turns into a dough.

Optional: add sprinkles, chocolate, etc. to dough
Scoop into a baking tray lined with a baking sheet and put in the oven. After 8 minutes take it out of the oven.

It may looked under cooked but let it cool for a few minutes on a wire rack and it will look way tasty and so not under cooked!

Enjoy!
